Rope rescue in Oakville

Fire crews have wrapped up a lengthy rope rescue in Oakville after a woman fell 20 metres into a ravine early this morning. Halton police say she had wandered away from a group home on Viewmount road near Bronte Road.  Crews were called around 3:30 this morning and it took about an hour – using a rope and basket – to bring her back up to safety.  She’s been taken to hospital, but is expected to be ok.
