Rochester beats the Bulldogs

The Bulldogs attracted their biggest crowd of the year for their annual “school day” game. More than 12-thousand on hand, made up of students, teachers and fans alike. The Dogs were tangling with the Rochester Americans. The visitors grab the early lead with Phil Varone finds a seam and goes between and then beats Dustin Tokarski just 5 minutes into the first period. The Bulldogs answer back, capitalizing on a Rochester giveaway, Mike Blunden with a shot, Martin St. Pierre has a whack at it, Sven Andrighetto pounces and scores his 7th of the season. He’s scored in 4 straight games since CHCH did a story on him.
But that was lone goal for the Bulldogs. Luke Adam scored twice for the Amerks in the 3rd period, one into an empty net as Rochester leaves town with a 3-1 win. Tokarski made 33 saves. The Bulldogs host Lake Erie on Friday night.
