Robbery suspect turns himself in

A man has turned himself into police this morning after two robberies this month in the downtown and west-end areas of Hamilton.

Police have arrested 18 year old Franke Albert Howell after he allegedly tried to rob two people at gunpoint on the rail trail near Rifle Range Road earlier this month.

Police also believe Howell is connected to a robbery early Thursday morning where three women were robbed at gunpoint downtown.

A 17 year old man has also been charged in connection with that robbery.
