Rob Ford hires sobriety coach

More information about Toronto mayor Rob Ford’s addiction recovery was revealed this morning after a radio interview.
In a NewsTalk 1010 interview, it was revealed that Ford has hired a sobriety coach who travels with him at all times to dispense advice whenever he needs it.
Polls show that the mayor’s select appearances since returning from rehab have not gone over well with the public. He first came back Monday and held a news conference that only a handful of reporters were invited to.
On Wednesday, he sat through an executive council meeting, then did a couple of interviews one-on-one but cancelled several others. Some reporters think they were struck from the list because they asked tough questions of the mayor on Canada Day while he was walking in a parade to both cheers and jeers.
There has since been a motion at city hall to keep politicians from banning accredited media at events on public property, but today Ford was only talked to NewsTalk 1010.
While Ford was talking on the radio, protestors were gathering outside without their shirts.
They call themselves The Shirtless Horde, inspired by Joe Killoran who confronted the mayor at that same Canada Day parade. Killoran says he was just out jogging when he saw the mayor, and his frustration bubbled over. He demanded that Ford start answering questions and became an instant online hit.
The same polls that say most Torontonians are not satisfied with Ford’s apologies say that only 26 per cent of people believe Ford will stay sober between now and October 27 when municipal elections are held.
