For the second day in a row HSR bus drivers refused to drive on Main street west in Hamilton because of the number of pot holes despite crews dumping tons of asphalt on the road to improve it.

Tuesday night city crews filled 385 potholes on Main street west in front of McMaster Children’s hospital, nearly 200 on Monday night as well, but the pot holes keep coming back. Today a crew contracted by the city was back laying roughly 40 tons of asphalt.

The risk management office is getting flooded with complaints. 139 claims already this year ranging from $200 to $1500 in damages to vehicles caused by potholes.
