A Richmond Hill man faces several fraud charges in Niagara-On-The-Lake.

Niagara Regional Police say in April 2017, a hotel in the town reported that stolen credit card information was used to buy gift cards, gift certificates and merchandise.

The police investigation found a man who ate at the hotel restaurant used the complimentary internet to buy gift certificates and gift cards with stolen credit card information.

Those gift cards were used to pay for the restaurant bill and other merchandise.

Shakib Gharibzada of Richmond Hill was arrested on Monday.

The 27-year-old faces a number of charges, including unauthorized use of credit card data, fraud over $5,000 and failing to comply with probation.
