Returning hydro workers share Sandy stories

After Superstorm Sandy pummeled the eastern seaboard, communities from across North America immediately offered help New York and New Jersey residents left in the dark and homeless.
More than 400 utility workers from Ontario were part of that effort. CHCH’s Melissa Raftis spoke with crews from Hamilton and Burlington who’ve just returned from Long Island, one of the hardest hit areas. When local utility workers went down to help restore power, they say they were prepared for almost everything – except for the overwhelming outpouring of emotion and gratitude.
