Reporter takes flight at new facility

If you’re looking to defy gravity – a new facility in Oakville is a place you’ll want to fly over to.
Our Phil Perkins tied it out and has this first-person report:
When it comes to super powers, I don’t want claws, or to be a shape-shifter. I want to fly.
And that’s why I made my way to brand new I-Fly Toronto, the first indoor skydiving simulator in the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area.
Adrian Uracz is from I-Fly: “Everyone dreams as a kid, I want to be superman, I want to fly, we make that happen here.”
If you think it looks like a military base, you’d be right. Standing at fourteen metres high and creating an airstream at a speed of 175 kilometres per hour, paratroopers are expected to use the wind tunnel for training. It’s like a massage over your entire body. If there’s one word I would use to describe this, it’s almost therapeutic — you’re almost meditating out there.
I’m not the only person walking away with a smile, apparently the number one problem they have at I-fly, is customer addiction.
For anyone looking into skydiving but are a little hesitant, this is a perfect introduction — it’s also a lot cheaper. A tandem skydive is just under $300 and two one-minute “flights” are just under $90.
