Repeat speeder caught again on QEW in Hamilton: OPP

A 25-year-old driver has been charged after police pulled over a speeding vehicle on the QEW in Hamilton.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says the driver was stopped Monday morning after being caught stunt driving during the heavy rainfall.
The driver was allegedly clocked going 163 km/h on the highway.
Police say it’s not the first time this motorist has been pulled over.
In a post on Twitter, OPP said the driver told the officer they “couldn’t afford to lose their vehicle again” because they were previously nabbed for stunt driving.
Police say the 25-year-old was “charged accordingly.” Motorists charged with stunt driving face an automatic seven-day licence suspension and their vehicle is impounded for the same amount of time.
If convicted, the fine for stunt driving can range from $2,000 to $10,000.
