Construction is underway at the first Tim Hortons donuts at the corner of Ottawa St and Dunsmure Rd in Hamilton.

Crews have already put up fencing around the store. Demolition work is expected to begin sometime next week.

Tim Hortons plans to renovate its original store into a two-storey store and museum in celebration of its 50th anniversary.
