Remembering Boris Brott

Boris Brott was an internationally recognized Canadian conductor, a proud Hamiltonian but he was also a husband, father, and friend to many. He was struck and killed last week after a hit and run.

Hundreds came out to say goodbye to the Montreal-born conductor who later called Hamilton home.

Brott founded the National Academy Orchestra of Canada and the Brott Music Festival, Canada’s largest orchestral music event. Brott’s family says the Brott Music Festival will continue.

Boris Brott will be buried in Montreal.
