Remains confirmed as Mariam’s

(Updated video) Toronto Police have identified human remains, discovered on a golf course, as those of a teenager that disappeared in September 2009.

Police found her backpack a few months later but had few other tips about her disappearance.

Her death is not considered a homicide. Police have asked the media to respect the privacy of Mariam’s mother.
