Raptors tie up series

The Brooklyn Nets got what they wanted: a split of the first two games of their NBA first round series with the Raptors. And after losing game one, the Raptors got what they needed — a win in game two and a split of the first two games.
DeMar DeRozan led the Raps with 30 points last night and dazzled fans with a number of shots that brought the crowd to their feet.
“When I shoot, I don’t just shoot jump shots. You never know what you’ll need, that’s why I work on it.”
While their play was much improved over game one, the Raptors still gave up 17 points on 21 turnovers. And even though they led by as much as 11 points in the second quarter, they continued a dangerous trend, and were outscored 27-19 in the third.
Coach Dwane Casey: “We gotta do better starting off the third quarter. We’re the best fourth quarter team. But we can’t wait for the fourth quarter to come out charging from the locker room.”
The Raptors acknowledged the great fan support here in Toronto over the first two games of this series, but Kyle Lowry says he’ll be equally as motivated by the hostility his team will face in Brooklyn.
“Everyone’s against you. It’s fun. You want to shut the crowd up.”
Game three tips off Friday night at 7, at the Barclays Centre.
