Ramage denied parole
Former NHL’er Rob Ramage has been denied his application for parole.
But the 52 year old will get another chance to make his case.
The parole board’s two members were split on Friday’s decision.
That means Ramage will get another hearing with a new parole board, although a date has not been set yet.
So far, he’s served eight months of his four year prison sentence.
The former Toronto Maple Leafs captain was convicted in 2007 of impaired driving causing death.
He was behind the wheel in December 2003 when he slammed head-on into another vehicle north of Toronto, killing his friend and former NHL’er Keith Magnuson.
In a tragic irony, the two had just left a funeral reception for another former player, Keith McCreary.
Ramage will be permitted up to 72 hours of unescorted passes per month.
