Radioactive disc found at Burl. school

A radioactive disc the size of a quarter was found in an old science kit from the 1960’s in a store room at Burlington Central High School.

The school has issued a memo to parents, saying the disc was secured and safely stored for further testing and removal.

It’s unclear just how much radiation the object was giving off, but the surrounding areas of the store room were tested, and found to have safe radiation levels.
