The race for ward nine

As we get closer to the municipal election, we’re taking a look at a crowded race in Stoney Creek.

As election signs appear on the lawns of ward nine there is one name that constantly appears, but Brad Clark is not in this race.

So Brad Clark had held ward 9 since 2006. But with him now running for mayor, it really makes this anyone’s race. And there are 9 candidates vying for the spot.

The ward covers two distinct sections of town. The downtown of Stoney Creek, and a growing section of the mountain. So candidates’ platforms often depend on where they are located.
