Queen returns to royal duties following death of Prince Philip

Queen Elizabeth has returned to royal duties following the death of her husband, Prince Philip.

The 94-year-old monarch attended a retirement ceremony on Tuesday for a senior royal official.

Buckingham Palace says the Royal Family is observing two weeks of mourning for Philip, who died Friday at age 99, but will “undertake engagements appropriate to the circumstances.”

Philip’s televised funeral is Saturday at Windsor Castle. Attendance limited to 30 people because of COVID-19 restrictions.
