Barn fire investigation

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the devastating fire that killed 43 horses yesterday at The Classy Lane Stables in Puslinch.

We spoke to the owner of the stables and a number of trainers today and while they are trying to move forward they say the death of their horses, which they say are more like family members to them, has been difficult.

The loss of both property and the horses is estimated to be worth between $4 and $5 million. The cause of the blaze however still not known.
