A Yale University psychiatrist says Alek Minassian’s autism distorted his thinking in a way similar to psychosis. His evidence supports the defence that the 28-year-old is not criminally responsible for the Yonge Street van attack in 2018, when he purposefully ran down 26 people, killing 10 of them.
