Province will fund half of the Bay St. bike lanes

In an effort to tackle greenhouse gases, the province of Ontario announced yesterday, it will provide nearly $300 000 over the next two years to help create a new bike lane in downtown Hamilton.
Transport Minister Steven Del Duca says the province will fund half of the $600 000 Bay Steet bike lanes. The lanes will stretch 2.3 kilometeres from the Durrand neighbourgood at Aberdeen and Bay all the way down to Bayfront Park and the West Harbour Go Station.
Construction is set for 2017.
