Progress in teacher talks

Both sides in the current labour dispute between the province and the unionized elementary teachers say they are making progress in renewed contract talks.

Two days of talks have been “productive” according to the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario.

It appears to be the first glimmer of hope since the last round of talks broke off in early September.

But since there is no deal yet, Wednesday will be another “Wynne Wednesday”, where teachers only perform classroom duties, and may wear union buttons or T-shirts.
