Prince Harry and Meghan want charity donations, not gifts

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are asking for charity donations in lieu of wedding gifts.
A statement from Kensington Palace says the couple is asking anyone planning to send a gift to mark their upcoming wedding to consider giving to charity.

The pair have selected seven charities that touch on some of the issues they feel passionate about.
- The Children’s HIV Association (CHIVA)
- Crisis – the national charity for homeless people
- Scotty’s Little Soldiers – the charity for bereaved Armed Forces children
- StreetGames -uses sport to help people and communities become healthier and safer
- Surfers Against Sewage – national marine conservation and campaigning charity
- The Wilderness Foundation UK – promotes the benefits and enjoyment of wild nature
- Myna Mahila Foundation – empowers women in Mumbai’s urban slums

The couple will tie the knot on May 19 at Windsor Castle.
