Prime Minister wants defibrillators in arenas
Prime Minister Stephen Harper plans to get defibrillators in community hockey arenas.
Harper announced today that the Government of Canada is working with the Heart and Stroke foundation to put automated external defibrillators in arenas across the country. He hopes this will help save lives, while encouraging an active lifestyle. According to the HFSC, up to 40,000 Canadians experience sudden cardiac arrest. The installation of the defibrillators will start this spring.
