Prime Minister Trudeau on 60 Minutes this Sunday

Prime Minister Trudeau will appear on “60 Minutes” just days before he travels to Washington, D.C., for a state visit. Trudeau sat down with Lara Logan in a candid interview that tackled a number of topics from Syrian refugees to the Trudeau’s path to the Prime Minister’s office.

The interview focuses on a number of topics including Trudeau’s decision to bring in 25 000 Syrian refugees to Canada, a move questioned by some in the U.S.
Trudeau has defended the refugee plan saying in the interview quote “every time a tourist or an immigrant or refugee shows up in another country, there is a security risk,” “I am more than comfortable that, accepting 25 000 Syrian refugees does right by both the safety of Canadians and by the values that define us as a nation.”

The “60 Minutes” interview will air right here on CHCH this Sunday at 7 pm.
