Pride flags damaged at Hamilton home in suspected hate crimes

Hamilton police are investigating suspected hate crimes after two Pride flags were damaged at a home within a week.

Officers say an unknown suspect first forcibly removed a Pride flag from a vehicle at a home on Edgemont St. North causing damage to the flag in the early morning of June 12.

The suspect is believed to have returned to the same home in the early morning Sunday and broke a front window containing another Pride flag.

While the investigation is ongoing, Hamilton police believe the incidents are hate-motivated.
