New rainbow and trans flag crosswalks now mark the Summers Lane and Main Street intersection.

Hamilton City Councilors voted in favour of the idea earlier this summer.

This isn’t the only intersection getting a pride makeover. Students attending McMaster University in the fall are going to notice a change as well.

What’s behind the idea, how much does it cost? And will we see more colourful walks around town?
