Pricey junket justified

The new 113 thousand square foot education centre for the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board opened last fall at a cost of $32 million.
Board officials justified the hefty price tag saying it would save taxpayers money because it was big enough to accomodate all staff training under one roof.
But in January the board spent $72 000 to send its principals and vice principals on a 2 day conference at the Niagara Falls Hilton hotel.
