Premier commends hydro crews for work after storm

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne says despite the lengthy delay in getting power restored to every homeowner across the province, she believes crews are doing everything possible to rectify the situation and that overall the system has worked.

“I have to say that in absolutely the way that I would have wanted. Not for one moment have I doubted everyone was working as hard as they could and with as much coordination as possible. Emergency Management Ontario has been working with municipalities and all of the emergency resources have been available so frankly I think that we have done everything that we could. Overall the way the system has responded has been has been excellent.”

Wynne says she empathizes with people who have been without power for days but doubts more could be done to expedite the situation.
