Pre-trial proceeding in Tori Stafford murder begins

Pre-trial motions have been adjourned in the first degree murder trial of the man accused of killing eight year old Tori Stafford.

Michael Rafferty, 30, is charged with first degree murder and kidnapping in the Woodstock girl’s death. Rafferty’s co-accused, Terri-Lynne McClintic, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison last year.

Tori was abducted as she left her school on April 8, 2009. Her remains were found in a field several weeks later.
