Power to more people

(Updated) It’s been four days since a storm ripped through Southern Ontario, downing trees and power lines and leaving thousands of people without electricity.
Horizon Utilities says 99 percent of customers in Hamilton and St Catharines have had their power restored. They say crews are working to bring electricity to the remaining homes who are still in the dark. But dozens of homes in Hamilton still don’t know when the power will be turned back on.
Kevin Pollock is one of those still waiting. “Hydro came in Sunday night and said we’d have power, came back, then again yesterday said we’d have it in the afternoon, came here this morning said we would have it today but we are still not too sure.”
Despite the delays, Horizon Utilities says it hopes to have all power restored by later today.
Meanwhile Hydro One says several thousand of its customers across Ontario are still without electricity.
