Power back in Niagara Falls

Power was finally been restored late Thursday morning for people in the southwest corner of Niagara Falls.

An equipment failure sparked a fire on a hydro pole at Montrose and Lyons Creek Road.

The outage affected about 500 Niagara Peninsula Energy customers.

They didn’t have electricity for about nine hours Thursday morning.
