Possible gas leak shuts down Bishop Tonnos high school

UPDATE
Staff and students at Bishop Tonnos Catholic Secondary School were evacuated Friday morning over concerns of a possible gas leak.
The Hamilton Fire Department was called to the school on Panabaker Dr. in Ancaster just before 8 a.m.
The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic School Board said students and staff were all safe, and were sent to a nearby cemetery.
Parents and care givers were asked to pick up their children at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery on Rymal Rd.

Shortly after 11:30 a.m., the school board said the high school was deemed staff.
The building will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for students who want to pick up their belongings from their lockers. Doors will be locked again at 1:30 p.m.
