A woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the SUV she was driving rolled and struck the sign of a business in Oakville.

The collision happened around 11 p.m. Sunday night in front of ATP Medical Esthetics located at 1276 Cornwall Rd. near Morrison Rd.

The Porsche SUV left the roadway and struck a business sign before coming to rest on its roof.

Halton Regional Police believe the SUV’s high rate of speed likely contributed to the roll-over.

The 46-year-old woman driving the SUV was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The Halton police Collision Reconstruction Unit attended the scene to further investigate the circumstances surrounding the collison.

Cornwall Rd. was closed near Morrison Rd. for several hours overnight as crews continued their investigation.
