Polls still open to vote for Hamilton public school board trustee

The byelection to elect a Hamilton public school board trustee this week is the first time residents can vote online.
A election was called in Hamilton’s Ward 4 after longtime public school board trustee Ray Mulholland stepped down.
It is also the first byelection in the City of Hamilton where people have had the choice to vote in person or online.
Registration for online voting has now closed, but there are three locations where residents can vote in person.
Rosedale Arena on Greenhill Avenue, Sir Winston Churchill Recreation Centre on Main Street, or the Boy’s and Girls Club on Ellis Avenue.
Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The city is planning to use this byelection to test online voting for next year’s municipal elections.
