Political expert weighs in on Trump-Putin call, partial Russia-Ukraine ceasefire deal

U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a phone call Tuesday that ended with an agreement to stop attacking certain targets on the battlefield in Ukraine.
But the conversation appears to have fallen short of convincing the Russians to sign on to the wider truce Ukraine recently agreed to.
CHCH’s Matt Ingram spoke with political expert Stephen Farnsworth from the University of Mary Washington in Virginia about the proposed 30-day energy infrastructure ceasefire and the likelihood of Russia giving Ukraine land back in a Trump-brokered deal.
