Police update on downtown stabbing

Hamilton Police say they’ve closed the case of the random stabbing of an HSR bus driver in broad daylight. The shocking attack happened Monday, in the bus terminal outside Jackson Square Mall. The driver was sitting down, when police say someone ran up and slashed him, and then ran away. Police released surveillance video of the man running away from the scene. The driver has since been released from hospital. Police now say the man behind the attack took his own life last night. They say there’s no longer any threat to the community, but they are not releasing any name or possible motive in the attack.
