Police still investigating after woman was run over by camper trailer

Police are still investigating after a woman was run over by a camper trailer in her driveway yesterday afternoon. It happened at a home on Brenlyn Court near Garth and Mohawk Road on the Hamilton Mountain.

A man had chocked the left side camper tandem axle and went into the garage to retrieve another wheel chock for the right side, but while he was inside the garage the truck and camper starting rolling. The woman tried to jump in the cab of the truck to stop it, but ended up being run over but the camper. The truck continued to roll and eventually hit a parked car on the road.

The 77 year-old woman is in hospital in stable condition.

Police are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this accident.
