Police seek witnesses of stabbing in Niagara Falls encampment

Niagara police are looking to speak with witnesses of a stabbing that left a 37-year-old man in hospital with life-threatening injuries Monday morning.
Officers responded shortly before 10 a.m. to an encampment in the area of Victoria Avenue and Buttrey Street in Niagara Falls, where they found a man who was assaulted with a weapon.
Paramedics then transported him to an out-of-town trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
Police say he remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
