Police seek suspect in purse theft from 87-year-old woman

Hamilton Police are asking for help identifying a woman accused of stealing a purse from an 87-year-old woman.

It happened last month at a FreshCo supermarket. Police say the suspect walked up to the woman and sparked a conversation. She then she walked away with the woman’s purse.

Police say, since then, someone tried to use a credit card in the purse but no purchases were made.

The woman they’re looking for has a medium build. She was wearing a black t-shirt, black and navy striped skirt, a grey and green baseball hat and sunglasses.
