Police seek suspect after convenience store robbery in Port Colborne

Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect following a convenience store robbery.
Officers responded to a commercial robbery in Port Colborne shortly after 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police say a disguised man entered the 7-11 convenience store at 111 Clarence St. brandishing a hammer.
The suspect smashed a glass case while demanding money.
Officers say the employees complied with the suspect and gave him an undisclosed amount of money.

The man ran east from the store into a nearby alley. No physical injuries were reported.
A police K9 tracked the area and was not able to find the suspect.
The suspect is described as white, five-foot-10, 180 lbs., medium build, brown eyes and bushy eyebrows.
He was last seen wearing a green shirt covering his face, blue hoodie and black pants.
