Police seek man after gunshot fired outside Oakville restaurant

Police are searching for a man accused of firing a gun during a fight outside of a downtown Oakville restaurant last week.

Officers responded to the area of Lakeshore Rd. East and Reynolds St. shortly before midnight Friday following multiple reports of a gunshot.

Investigators say the altercation took place after a man approached the victim and at least one gunshot was fired.

No one was injured during this incident.

Police say the suspect fled in a dark-coloured SUV eastbound on Lakeshore Rd. He is described as a Black man in his 20s.

Those with dash camera footage of the areas of Lakeshore and Trafalgar roads between 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. are asked to contact police.
