Police seek help in locating 2 vehicles after Six Nations shooting

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking for the public’s help in locating two vehicles in connection with a shooting on Six Nations of the Grand River Territory.

Police were called to a home on Mohawk Rd. on Sept. 2.

Officers found a person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say the suspects fled the scene and no arrests have been made.

Investigators are trying to track down two vehicles that were at the scene on Mohawk Rd.

The first is described as a black 2021 Toyota Corolla, with licence plate number CSDC 457.

Police released a photo of a vehicle similar to the Toyota.

The second vehicle is described as a black compact sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Cruze.

Six Nations Police believe this was a targeted incident and there is “no danger to the public.”

OPP says members of the West Region Ontario Provincial Police Crime Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team, and OPP Forensic Identification Services, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), will be assisting Six Nations Police Service with the firearms investigation.
