Police search for persons of interest after photos taken of teen in bathroom

Durham police are asking for the public’s help identifying two persons of interest after photos were allegedly taken of a teenager inside a shopping mall washroom.
Police say a 16-year-old boy was inside the men’s washroom at the Oshawa Centre on August 14.
They say the teen noticed a camera being held over top of him from a person in the next stall.
Investigators say they have reviewed surveillance video and identified two men of interest in the case. “Both were seen leaving the washroom area and then walking northbound through the food court,” said Durham police in a news release.
Anyone with information that could help police with the investigation is asked to contact Det. Cst. Annie Ormonde at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 2770.
