Police search for suspect wanted in convenience store robbery in St. Catharines

Niagara police are seeking to identify one suspect following a robbery at an Avondale convenience store in St. Catharines on Friday.
Police say a masked suspect entered the store, located at 109 Martindale Road, around 9:15 p.m. and went behind the register, threatening the employee with a knife.
The suspect demanded cash and reportedly grazed the employee with the knife before the two engaged in a physical struggle and the employee chased the suspect out of the store.
Police say the suspect stole an unknown amount of money and was last seen running westbound on Grapeview Drive.

He is described as a dark skinned male in his 20s, approximately five-foot-six, with a muscular build. He was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black running style shoes, and a black mask.
