Police search Brantford creek after receiving report of person in water

Police conducted a search of a waterway in Brantford after receiving a call about a person in the creek.

Police say a call came in on Tuesday regarding a person who had fallen or jumped into Shallow Creek near Alfred St.

Officers attended the scene and searched the area but did not locate anyone.

Images posted online show a Brantford Fire Department boat at the scene and several police vehicles.

Police determined the report to be “unfounded.”
