Police are reminding the public that 911 is for emergencies only
911 is for emergencies, but Hamilton police are having to remind the public of that fact after a man called the emergency line after he was unhappy with his meal at McDonalds.

Hamilton police say officers were called to a McDonald’s in the city on Sunday by an irate customer who received a cold hamburger and fries.
Police say calling 911 with nuisance calls ties up the lines and makes it difficult for people with serious emergencies to get through to dispatchers.
