Police release surveillance video of hit-and-run on Queenston St. in St. Catharines

Niagara police have released surveillance video of a hit-and-run in St. Catharines earlier this month.

Officers were called to the area of Queenston St. and Woodburn Ave. around 5:45 p.m. on Jan. 7.

Police say an 89-year-old woman was crossing Queenston St. when she was hit by a driver in a white vehicle. The driver did not stop.

The woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are trying to identify the white vehicle in the video. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-688-4111 ext. 1005591.
