Police release artist rendering after woman approached by suspicious man in Oakville

Halton police have released an artist rendering of a man wanted in connection to an incident in Oakville last month.

Police say a man approached a woman in the area of Morrison Heights Dr. and Linbrook Rd. the afternoon of Sunday May 30.

He was driving a newer model four-door silver Honda Civic.

He reportedly asked for directions, asked personal questions and then offered the female a ride.

Police say when the woman declined, the man got verbally aggressive and repeatedly demanded she get in. The woman left the area on foot.

The incident prompted police to issue a public safety warning.

Investigators are still trying to identify the man and have had a forensic artist create an image of him.

Police say he made no physical threats and no weapons were seen in the vehicle.

Pictures of the vehicle were obtained via CCTV footage.
