Police probing shots fired in St Catharines garage

Niagara Police are looking for a suspect after multiple shots were fired in a St Catharines parking garage.

It happened on Geneva St. A witness says he heard at least four shots. Police are looking for a dark-skinned man in his 30’s. he was seen getting in the back seat of a black Kia or SUV with a long gun.

Witness Taryn Lavacca describes what he saw. “I heard a loud bang and we thought it was just a car backfiring but then it kind of sounded too loud to be that so then I went down to my friend’s apartment and they though they had just seen somebody run into a black car and we saw it was like a Kia Soul that just peeled out of the driveway.”

Police did not find anyone injured at the scene.
