Hamilton Police looking for purse snatcher

Hamilton Police are looking for a purse snatcher who they say attacked a woman in the Durand neighbourhood Sunday morning.

Police say a woman was walking on Aberdeen Ave. near Bruce St. around 6:30 a.m. when was pushed from behind and knocked to the ground.

The unknown man grabbed her purse and took off.

He’s described as white, with a medium build, under 6 feet tall and was wearing dark clothing.

Police say the woman was injured in the fall but is expected to make a full recovery.
